Joe's music is rooted in the blues / folk genres as influenced by the finger-picking styles of Leo Kottke, Ry Cooder, Doc Watson and John Fahey.
His performances include a blend of his own compositions, traditional folk & blues and some contemporary acoustic music. Some songs also incorporate open tunings in a bottleneck slide style.
Joe performs solo on a variety of acoustic instruments that include standard and resonator 6 string guitars and a 12 string.
He has been a featured performer at the Rosendale Street Festival the past 2 years and will be playing there again this year (2026). He has also performed at the Stone House Tavern in Accord, NY and at numerous Open Mics including The Colony in Woodstock, NY and The Lemon Squeeze in New Paltz, NY.
